Privacy Policy

Account data. When you create an account on this site, we store your name, your email address, and a hash of your password. Your account also records your subscription plan and the devices you register — the details needed to manage billing and licensing.

Contact messages. When you send us a message through the contact form, we store the name, email, topic, and message you submitted so we can reply. To protect the form from spam and abuse, we also store a hash of your IP address — a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into your IP and does not identify you.

Product analytics. This site uses PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and when the contact form is sent. Analytics events carry the topic of a contact message, never its content, and PostHog is configured to build profiles only for signed-in accounts. PostHog processes this data on our behalf.

ProtoX Login — the desktop App — is local-first. The browser profiles, sessions, cookies, workflows, schedules, run history, and output files it works with are stored on your machine and processed there.

The App does not need an account, does not send your automation data to us or to any server, and works without an internet connection. What happens in your browser profiles stays on your computer unless you choose to export or share it yourself.

If a cloud feature — such as sync or team sharing — is ever added, it will be a separate decision, and this policy will be updated and announced before it ships.

Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the personal data belonging to it within 30 days.

Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on conversations, then deleted. Hashed IP addresses used to protect the contact form are kept for up to 90 days.

Analytics events are kept for the retention period set on our PostHog project, currently 12 months.

You can view, correct, and delete your personal data at any time: account details are editable in your dashboard, and deleting your account removes its data.

For anything else — a copy of your data, a correction you cannot make yourself, a deletion request, or withdrawing consent — write to support@protox.app and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
